The Afternoon Shift – Oct. 25

The Griffins are basking in the glow of their first four-game road winning streak since 2007-08, and there’s lots of news to review from the weekend, as the links below attest.

But the first order of business today is to recognize the Griffins’ 111th NHL alumnus. Jeremy Williams wasn’t able to break into the Red Wings’ lineup during his lone season in Grand Rapids last year, but he was called up by the New York Rangers from Hartford yesterday and made his Big Apple debut during the Rangers’ 3-1 win over New Jersey.

Williams, who saw just 3:43 of ice time, returned to the Wolf Pack earlier today.
